Dance Meditation:

It is a compound form of ancient classical dances and meditation. Where we dance and be in meditation in order to balance five elements (Fire, Air, Ether, Earth and Water) in and out of our mind and body along with Universal energy and own energy. This entire practice of Dance Meditation helps in;

  1. Presence of mind with body (Mindfulness),
  2. Creating peace in mind (Via rest and motion of mind and body )
  3. Exploring self and experiencing Self presence ,
  4. Regulating energy in balanced form,
  5. Making balanced relation of Internal organs and five elements,
  6. Coordinating influence of universal five elements on External organs
  7. Achieving

This Dance meditation is specially based on three things:

  • Dance (Nepali/Indian classical dance and Natural/free dance)
  • Meditation
  • Five elements (Fire, Air, Ether, Earth and Water)

In this practice we use both motion and rest of internal and external mind, body, energy/power from this universe and five elements all above. We try to create balance in following things to experience – explore ourselves. Our subtle presence is very important and helpful for our superficial presence in anything we do. Both subtle and superficial presence is very hard to obtain at the same time and more difficult thing is to keep it existing. It is possible only if we practice both motion and rest of mind and body. And dance meditation is one of the strongest medium to practice both rest and motion of mind and body.

(Five Elements’) Dance Meditation FEDM:

Base of this dance meditation are: Dance (Nepali/Indian classical dance and Natural/free dance), Meditation and Five elements. Five elements are responsible components for the existence of this Universe- Earth- all living creatures and non living things. If one of these five elements goes out of balance or any of them are not functioning in co-operation with each other, Universe- Earth- All Living creatures and non Living things will certainly suffer. In this practice we use both motion and rest of internal and external mind, body, energy/power from this universe and five elements all above.

We try to create balance in following things to experience – explore ourselves. Our subtle presence is very important and helpful for our superficial presence in anything we do but to achieve both presences as YINGYANG is very hard and the only way is practicing both motion and rest of mind and body which is specially designed in FEDM practice.
Here is a quick spotlight of FEDM practice:

  • Mindfulness…………
  • Self presence …………
  • Meditation………..
  • Internal organs in relation with five elements…………
  • External organs co-ordination with universal five elements
  • Type of balance whole and soul, we r trying to create……….
  • Aesthetic meanings and values………

According to descriptions in ancient spiritual scriptures, dance that is performed under the instructions of religious scriptures in prescribed song, rhythm, costume and occasion is Classical Dance. Nepali and Indian classical dances both have been being practiced not only as form of dance but also as a form of meditation since thousands of years. Therefore there are lots of hand and body gestures which help to go deep in meditation and create balance between five elements inside/outside our body. To practice and experience FEDM it is not necessary that one should be a trained, professional or skilled dancer it can be practiced by anyone. Some of the very important and special things we do in FEDM are:

  • Cleansing and creating environment
  • Greeting universe, energy, five elements and spirit with the help of different meaningful gestures
  • Preparing Internal Systems
  • Physical Preparation
  • Forming Crystal Pyramid Safety Zone
  • Sixteen Offerings
  • Elements in Motion & Emotion
  • Balancing internal/external five elements
  • Relaxation
  • Deforming Crystal Pyramid Safety Zone
  • Greeting universe, energy, elements, spirit with the help of different meaningful gestures

Here we experience and practice this Dance Mediation in different levels according to the perception of learners and needs.
